QGA members had a great field trip to the Oakey Power Plant QLD. The Oakey team provided lots of information regarding the natural gas distribution and transmission lines owned and operated by APA, along with a tour both onsite and inside the premises of the Power Station. A BIG thanks to Simon, Ray, Brad, Jean and Ian from APA along with Kevin and Michael from the Power Station, who educated QGA members on the massive turbines they maintain and operate. A speacial thanks to Peter Burdon also.
